OK so here's a list of music events this weekend in Indy:
ISO: Friday and Saturday, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique and Mozart's Overture to Cosi fan tutte, Douglas Boyd conducting and Jack Liebeck on violin. Liebeck comes from Britain, a young virtuoso who recorded on the Middletown soundtrack (here's a link for a review, and here's more info).
at Butler: a student recital at 8 pm Friday, and Basson Day all day Saturday (for all of you Bassonists).
at University of Indianapolis: Indianapolis Chamber Winds concert tonight (good luck Jodi!) at 7:30pm, "Focus on Flute" on Monday at 7:00pm (both are free).
at Purdue: the Academy of Ancient Music is performing at Purdue at 7:30pm, should be a good concert, GO if you can!
